As part of their continued efforts to give back to the community, NAYGN at NextEra Energy recently became chefs for a day! On Tuesday, July 25, 2017, several members of the Corporate chapter donated supplies and prepared a Mexican themed meal for families at Quantum House, an organization that serves as a home for families with children receiving treatment in Palm Beach County for a serious medical condition.
“The support that Quantum House provides for families is essential in a time when they need to focus on medical care for their children”, said Cheryl Eddy, NAYGN NextEra Energy Corporate’s Community Outreach Chair. “When I was young, a local charity provided similar services for my family while my brother received care in the NICU. Giving back to the community in a way that is so important to me was amazing, and participating in this event with my colleagues made it even more special.”
