SUMMARY:AI x Nuclear Webinar: Building RAG-Powered AI Agents for Smarter Nuclear Solutions
DESCRIPTION:As Large Language Models (LLMs) continue to advance\, AI agents built on top of them are emerging as powerful tools for streamlining complex workflows across a range of industries\, including nuclear energy. In the first series of AI x Nuclear Webinar\, Dr. Maria Berardi from Blue Wave AI Labs will discuss AI agents development for nuclear solutions. The talk will begin with a general overview of AI agents and their potential to reduce manual effort and increase efficiency. We will then explore how these technologies can be applied in the nuclear sector. In particular\, we will look at how industry professionals can leverage agents powered by Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines to streamline the creation of business proposals. Attendees will come away with a deeper understanding of how AI agents can support more efficient\, intelligent\, and scalable operations in the nuclear field. \nOrganized by Blue Wave AI Labs and NAYGN – West Lafayette Local Chapter

SUMMARY:AI x Nuclear Webinar: AI-Driven Fuel Reload Planning for Boiling Water Reactors
DESCRIPTION:As nuclear power plants seek to optimize performance while adhering to strict safety and regulatory standards\, fuel reload planning remains one of the most technically demanding tasks in the reactor operations cycle. In this AI x Nuclear webinar\, Dr. Rizki Oktavian\, Senior AI Engineer at Blue Wave AI Labs\, will introduce an AI-powered platform that modernizes and accelerates fuel reload planning for Boiling Water Reactors (BWRs). \nThe approach combines high-fidelity neural networks with advanced optimization algorithms to deliver near-instant core evaluations and design recommendations. The platform is engineered for seamless integration with in-house core simulation tools\, and features a fully interactive user interface equipped with modern visualization to support real-time decision-making and collaborative engineering. \nThis session will explore how AI can dramatically reduce the number of design iterations\, uncover more efficient core loading patterns\, and streamline the overall planning workflow. \n  \nOrganized by Blue Wave AI Labs and NAYGN – West Lafayette Local Chapter
