Fueled by volunteers, the organization has dozens of continental committees and over a hundred local chapters facilitated by a Board of Directors affectionately known as The Core.
Each position is a two-year volunteer position and elected by the NAYGN membership except for the presidential positions. A Board Director is elected to the Vice-President position and then serves a three-year term going from Vice-President, President, and then Past-President each year.

Christy Fletcher has been a mechanical design engineer with ENERCON for 10 years, starting immediately after she graduated from Clemson University. Most of her work has been for TVA’s three nuclear plants leading multi-disciplinary teams through the design process. She also specializes in hydraulic modeling and has completed models for TVA, Duke, Entergy, NextEra, Southern Company, and SHINE Technologies. Christy lives in Atlanta, GA where she enjoys playing sports and marathoning the Star Wars franchise.

Tori Bayush is currently a Fire Probabilistic Risk Assessment and Safe Shutdown Senior Engineer at Southern Nuclear where she is responsible for developing, maintaining, and applying state-of-the-art tools and risk models for the plants. Over her 8-year tenure with Southern Nuclear, she has supported and led many nuclear industry and DEI committees and leadership programs. During her spare time Tori enjoys being outdoors, competing in trail races, and volunteering for charitable organizations in her community.

Matthew Mairinger served in the NAYGN Durham chapter leadership position from 2015-2019. He was elected to the Canadian Operating Officer role from 2018-2022 and was elected to the NAYGN Presidency position in 2022. Matthew holds a P. Eng. and PMP designation and received his Bachelor of Engineering in Nuclear Engineering degree and Nuclear Technology graduate diploma from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. He currently is on a secondment with Laurentis Energy Partners as the manager of Business Development. He resides in Bowmanville, Ontario, and enjoys surfing, golf, and windsurfing.

He attended Kutztown University where he obtained his B.S. in Criminal Justice, following that he completed his MBA from Southern New Hampshire University. He brings a strong foundation to this role with having over 10 years of Professional Development experience across several different industries and he plans to leverage that along with his education to contribute to the growing organizational success in this dynamic position.

Instrument and Controls Engineer in Long Term Plant Reliability group at Palo Verde Generating Station. I have been working at Palo Verde since I graduated college in 2018 from the University of Arizona with a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
I have been an officer of Palo Verde’s Young Generation in Nuclear chapter for 2 years. First as safety officer, and then as President. I have also supported the NAYGN Delivery Team for the Global Clean Energy Action Forum, RE+2023, and COP28. My passion for student outreach and STEM advocacy was ignited during my college years when I served as an intern for the Women in Science and Engineering Program. This experience cultivated my dedication to fostering inclusivity and promoting the significance of STEM fields, values that I have carried with me as I became a nuclear advocate though PVYGN.
As Public Information Officer I aspire to create an inclusive space wherein the younger generation is not only well-informed about nuclear science and technology but is also inspired to contribute to its evolution. I want to recreate any lost community connections that might have occurred since covid, and solidify nuclears presence within our communities and schooles. Together, we can use our passion for nuclear advocacy to demonstrate how nuclear innovation can play a pivotal role in shaping a sustainable and clean future for all.

Lindsy Davis grew up in Woodstock, Georgia. She went to Georgia Southern University and received a Mechanical Engineering Degree. While in college, Lindsy had four different internships/co-op opportunities. These experiences helped her decide upon graduation she wanted to work in the nuclear industry. Lindsy began working at a Nuclear Power Plant. Currently, she works for ENERCON as a Lead Mechanical Engineer creating design change packages for the plant.

Brian graduated from NC State University with a B.S. and M.S., joining the nuclear industry in 2012 working for Entergy in Nuclear Fuels focusing on spent fuel management and then core design. He then transitioned to Duke Energy in 2022 joining Safety Analysis after completing an MBA from Mississippi College.
Brian has served NAYGN since his second year in the industry, taking chapter vice chair, chair and fleet president positions and serving on the awards committee before becoming Treasurer.

DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND INCLUSION OFFICER
Sarah Davis (she/her) is a Safety Analysis Engineer at Enercon Services, Inc. outside of Atlanta, GA. She started working at ENERCON in 2019 and quickly became involved with the company’s NAYGN chapter as Social Events Chair. Ms. Davis has her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nuclear engineering from the University of Tennessee (Go Vols!). While at UTK, she interned at Oak Ridge National Laboratory under the Nuclear Fusion group and focused on environmental qualification of nuclear power plant cables. At ENERCON, Ms. Davis is responsible for calculations and evaluations in terms of safety-related components and systems at various nuclear power plants. She is also the lead for ENERCON’s DE&I Committee and is the new Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer for NAYGN.

She started her career in education, then moved into manufacturing and aviation, before shifting to nuclear in 2022. Currently, she works at Curtiss-Wright as a Marketing and Communications Specialist. With over 10 years of experience in digital marketing, she’s trained in creating engaging content, managing websites (including WordPress, Drupal, and other CMS), and optimizing website performance.

MENTORSHIP AND GUIDANCE
The Board relies on an Executive Advisory Council (EAC) for mentorship and guidance. The EAC is comprised of nuclear industry executives who provide input on NAYGN and industry-wide initiatives.
Executive Advisory Council Goals are to provide guidance and strategic input to the NAYGN Board of Directors to ensure that NAYGN is aligned with supporting the nuclear industry’s challenges. Communicate NAYGN’s activities and the voice of the young generation to the nuclear industry. Maintain a group of senior-level advocates for NAYGN within the nuclear industry.
