Best Chapter in Region

The Best Chapter in Region award recognizes local NAYGN chapters that demonstrate outstanding commitment to supporting the organization’s mission and fostering member growth through activities aligned to NAYGN’s four pillars and our commitment to community service and diversity and inclusion. The award celebrates chapters that exemplify overall excellence in advancing NAYGN’s goals and serving the industry.  

Note to nominees: this award has substantially changed between 2024 and 2025. For the 2025 year we have included a requirement to demonstrate excellence in all pillars of NAYGN to be considered the Best Chapter in Region. A rubric is provided to help with creating your award nominations.  

Instructions:

Describe your chapter activities in the boxes provided below. The submission should include several events or ongoing initiatives conducted in 2025 that demonstrate the success of the chapter and are described in enough detail to satisfy the voting rubric. Recurring annual events may be included (e.g. an annual charity 5k run) but the submission should focus on the impact the chapter had in 2025. Events mentioned in the submission may include activities that have been submitted for other awards. Recurring events must show a level of enhancement or improvement from previous submissions. Impact to the community may be included as a part of an event’s description and does not need to be a stand-alone portion of the award entry.

Top Scoring Criteria:

  • 2 or more quality Knowledge Transfer & Retention events
  • 2 or more quality Networking events
  • 2 or more quality Public Information events
  • 2 or more quality Professional Development events
  • Positive community impact (community service)

Best Chapter in Region Grading Rubric

Evaluation Process:

Each criterion is scored independently by reviewers. Final scores are averaged across reviewers to ensure fairness and consistency. In the event of a tie, a democratic vote will take place within the Awards Committee.
