Future Award
This award recognizes the sustaining efforts of an individual or group that best exemplifies the mission of NAYGN to prepare and plan for the future of the young generation in the nuclear industry in an innovative or unique way. This award is intended to highlight large scale achievements and initiatives that benefit the Continental NAYGN organization.
Note to nominees: The criteria for this award has been updated for 2025. A rubric is provided to help with creating your award nominations.
Instructions:
The submission should clearly describe the individual or group effort put forth and the benefit that was realized by the NAYGN organization as a result. The submission should highlight the uniqueness of the effort and the alignment with the pillars of NAYGN. Any impacts to the community and efforts to make the organization more inclusive and equitable should also be included in the submission.
The four pillars of NAYGN are Professional Development, Public Information, Networking, and Knowledge Transfer & Retention.
Top Scoring Criteria:
- Demonstrated impact that benefits NAYGN as a whole
- Submission stands out from routine tasks or activities
- Aligned with all 4 pillars of NAYGN and gives back to the community (community service)
- Makes the organization more inclusive and equitable
Evaluation Process:
This award is chosen by the Board of Directors and may not be awarded every year. Each criterion is scored independently by reviewers. Final scores are averaged across reviewers to ensure fairness and consistency. In the event of a tie, a democratic vote will take place within the Board of Directors.
