Best University or Collegiate Chapter
The Best Collegiate or University Chapter Award recognizes a student-led NAYGN chapter that exemplifies excellence in advancing the mission and pillars of the organization within an academic setting. This award celebrates student chapters that demonstrate outstanding networking, industry engagement, member growth, professional development, public information, and knowledge transfer to the next generation of the nuclear industry.
This award is only for chapters serving a student population.

Instructions:
Describe the nominee chapter’s activities in 2025. The submission should include several events or ongoing initiatives conducted in 2025 that demonstrate the success of the chapter and are described in enough detail to satisfy the voting rubric. Recurring annual events may be included (e.g. an annual charity 5k run) but the submission should focus on the impact the chapter had in 2025. Events mentioned in the submission may include activities that have been submitted for other awards.
The four pillars of NAYGN are Professional Development, Public Information, Networking, and Knowledge Transfer & Retention.
Top Scoring Criteria:
- Chapter held events in support of all pillars of NAYGN
- Chapter held events that had a positive impact on their school community
- Chapter engaged industry experts to interact with their members
Best University or Collegiate Chapter Grading Rubric
Evaluation Process:
Each criterion is scored independently by reviewers. Final scores are averaged across reviewers to ensure fairness and consistency. In the event of a tie, a democratic vote will take place within the Awards Committee.
