Your vote is needed – Candidates are running for four of NAYGN’s Core positions, and our current Core has proposed changes to our Bylaws. But none of these are possible without your voice!
Our Annual Award Nominations are open! Please nominate your chapter and peers by Feb. 28^th for all their outstanding work! Have you seen our new Individual Achievement Award?
NAYGN’s annual drawing contest and essay contest are both up and running. Be sure to submit your local schools’ RAD drawings by March 8^th and their informed essays by March 9^th!
We’ve partnered with ANS YMG again to host the College Video Competition in 2018, where students upload a 2-4 minute video explaining a nuclear topic (Here’s 2016’s winner). E-mail Matthew Jasica for full rules and instructions, or check out this flyer.
Our annual Professional Development conference is just around the corner! This year we’ll be in Atlanta, GA and Early Bird registration runs through Feb. 28^th. Did you know we’re preceding the conference with a teacher workshop? NAYGN is also offering scholarships for current college students to attend, including travel and hotel!

Last month Vogtle 3&4 read Marie to 1^st and 2^nd graders and collected some great drawing contest entries! Are you ready to join Marie on her next adventure? NAYGN will be creating a sequel to Marie’s Electric Adventure, and is looking for your ideas on where she should go next.

Looking for some technical training this summer? You can sharpen your technical skills with a global perspective at the Intercontinental Nuclear Institute, June 3^rd – 29^th.
Oyster Creek, America’s oldest operating commercial reactor, is slotted to begin decommissioning this October.
New Jersey is taking a 4^th swing to pass a bill to subsidize nuclear generation in a manner similar to other clean energy sources. Salem and Hope Creek may hang in the balance.
