Building on the Promise of Nuclear Energy was not only the theme of the recent U.S. WIN (Women in Nuclear) Conference, held in Charlotte, N.C., it is the driving force for how AREVA will continue to help customers deliver safe, clean and cost-effective nuclear energy in the future. Participants from all over the United States gathered in late July to share ideas and inspirations to secure a strong nuclear future, adapt business plans to remain competitive in evolving energy markets, and inspire colleagues to add value to their organization and advance continuous learning at all levels.

As the 2016 U.S. WIN Conference co-host with Duke Energy, AREVA had over 40 participants in the four-day event and helped to shape the outstanding programs, speakers and events. Key speakers and facilitators included AREVA executives Gary Mignogna, Mary Alice Hayward, and Kathy Williams; as well as AREVA employees Aimee Abernathy, Peggy Hobbs, and Sandra Neal. Topics ranged from Emotional Intelligence – challenging attendees to discover their strengths and weaknesses and achieve what is important to you; to innovative technologies that are revolutionizing how we do things in ways we couldn’t have imagined a few short years ago.
