NAYGN Carolinas Beach Weekend | June 10-11, 2022 | Wilmington, NC | Registration Now Open!

Announcing the return of NAYGN Carolinas Beach Weekend, to be held June 10-11 in Wilmington, NC! This event will include professional development and networking activities, including a day of fun on Wrightsville Beach!

This event is sponsored by GE-Hitachi Nuclear and Duke Energy-Brunswick and is open to members of the Carolinas region of NAYGN. Reach out to carolinas@naygn.org for more information.

Registration is now open! Please register no later than Friday, June 3rd to allow time for catering arrangements. Those interested in a GE-Hitachi Nuclear or Duke Energy-Brunswick Nuclear Plant tour should register ASAP (by Wednesday, June 1) to allow time for security processing.

Tour Option #1: BNP Tour canceled due to site access restrictions

12:30 pm – 3:00 pm | Tour Option #2: GE-Hitachi Nuclear Fuel Manufacturing Operation (confirmed) | Requires advanced registration by Wednesday, 6/1 and additional security screening. Tour is only open to nuclear workers (no spouses/family/+1s)

6:00 pm – 9:00 pm | Social Networking and PD Event: Bodega Market | 1222 S 3rd St, Wilmington, NC 28401 | Food provided by GE-H NAYGN

PD Presentations by GE-Hitachi Nuclear and Duke Energy-Brunswick (topics include Work Life Balance, Three Mile Island Synopsis, and more!)

Saturday, June 11

9:00 am – 5:00 pm | Networking Beach Day at Wrightsville Beach | Shell Island Resort | 2700 N Lumina Ave, Wrightsville Beach, NC 28480 | Lunch provided by NAYGN

Air conditioned event space and free parking is reserved at Shell Island Resort. Parking is limited to the first 20 vehicles, so please carpool with peers.

Family friendly event! Please RSVP with your expected number of guests. Lunch and water will be provided by NAYGN.

Travel Arrangements:

NAYGN funding for transportation/lodging expenses is not provided for this event. Out of town guests will have to pay for this out of pocket unless their individual site/chapter leadership has agreed to fund travel. Contact info will be shared between out of town guests so that a carpool or shared lodging can be arranged for those who answer “Yes” to registration question #9.
