Celebrating 20 years of NAYGN!

NEI’s Nuclear Energy Assembly (NEA) and Supplier Expo brings together nuclear energy industry’s best and brightest leaders. Joined with the annual meeting of NAYGN, the 2018 conference showed how the industry can and does “Power the Extraordinary.”

Key takeaways from the 2018 conference include:

  • Nuclear energy is associated with causes, ideas and aspirations that we need to leverage and speak about such as jobsnational securityclean airclimate changeinfrastructureinnovation and other imperatives. We need to have conversations with influencers on these important issues and find ways to work together to help achieve our mutual goals.
  • At the federal and state level, numerous policy issues that affect the nuclear industry are being debated every day. Let your policymakers know that you support nuclear energy.
  • The future of nuclear energy is right in front of us. ATF cladding is being tested right now in Plant Hatch. Just a few hours from Atlanta, the first AP1000 reactors in the U.S. are under construction. An SMR design is moving through the NRC approval process.
  • The TIP Awards celebrated the new innovations happening in plants across the country.
