NAYGN Vogtle 3&4 Chapter reads “Marie’s Electric Adventure”

Members from the North American Young Generation in Nuclear (NAYGN) chapter at Vogtle 3 and 4 visited Westmont Elementary in Augusta, GA to read Marie's Electric Adventure. They had the opportunity to share Marie’s story with ten 1st and 2nd grade art classes. The readers were very animated while reading the book which kept the students engaged!

The chapter members followed up the reading by asking the student questions and sharing information with them about nuclear energy, electricity, science, and the importance of STEM education. Finally, the students participated in a drawing contest with a topic very similar to Marie’s adventure: “You are going on an adventure to find out about a STEM-related topic that you don’t know about. Draw your adventure!”. The students had a week to complete assignment and Ms. Frank was kind enough to share them with the chapter.
