Vote by midnight, 11:59 PM EST, on February 20th to identify your next set of leaders. The Board of Directors (BOD) works with members and sponsors to develop annual initiatives and events that support NAYGN in energizing the future of nuclear.

Introducing Our Candidates for Vice President

⚛️Veeshesh is a dynamic leader driving global youth empowerment and clean energy advocacy. As Energy Markets Coordinator at Ontario Power Generation, he plays a key role in planning 18 GW of nuclear, hydroelectric, and natural gas capacity. A forward-thinking leader, Veeshesh revitalized NAYGN Durham as Chapter President, driving collaboration and achieving regional recognition. As Nuclear for Climate lead, he mobilized international coalitions, spearheading youth delegations to United Nations Climate Change Conferences to advocate for nuclear energy.

⚛️Chris is an Engineering Technical Specialist with Dominion Energy, at the V.C. Summer Nuclear Power Station. He serves as the Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CAD) Site Administrator at V.C. Summer Station and serves as an Innovation Envoy for the Nuclear Design Engineering Department. He has been in the nuclear industry for over 10 years. He has over 12 years of Engineering experience, including 3 years of Nuclear Plant Operations and Training experience.

Introducing Our Candidates for US Operating Officer

⚛️Lindsy Davis grew up in Woodstock, Georgia. She went to Georgia Southern University and received a Mechanical Engineering Degree. While she was in college, she had different internships/co-op opportunities. These experiences helped her decide upon graduation she wanted to work in the nuclear industry. She began working at a Nuclear Power Plant. Currently she works for ENERCON as a Lead Mechanical Engineer creating design change packages for different nuclear plants.

⚛️Nicole Zelenak holds degrees in Business and Psychology from Kent State University. Within Curtiss-Wright, Nicole has held positions in Analytics, Marketing, and most recently Business Development. Her work centers on driving growth and supporting the Department of Energy’s Office of Nuclear Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration, and the complex of National Laboratories. Nicole excels in strategic planning and long-term goal setting, leveraging lean principles to drive results.

Introducing Our Candidates for Public Information Officer

⚛️As a NY native obtaining his Mechanical Engineering degree from Rochester Institute of Technology, Kevin moved to NC to begin his career in nuclear. From starting in existing plants to currently designing components for advanced reactors, he is proud to be working on the next generation of nuclear power plants as a Lead Mechanical Engineer at GE Vernova. While there, he has also obtained his P.E. and became an ASME stakeholder for High Temperature Reactors.

⚛️Dylan is a Mechanical Engineer at AtkinsRealis, in the Power & Industrial department. He works with Candu to get their newest design, Monark, to market. He has been in the Nuclear Industry for 4 years, ever since he graduated from UNC Charlotte in 2020. For the same duration, he has been a member of NAGYN. When he's not working or volunteering, he likes to write and perform music with his band, Forevergreen, or modify and repair his Volkswagen.

Introducing Our Candidate for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer

⚛️Sonia is from Naperville, Illinois. She graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems. After joining NextEra Energy's IT rotational program, she now works in Nuclear Cybersecurity while pursuing a master's in Data Science from UC-Berkeley. She is passionate about community development and enjoys cooking, staying active, and exploring Florida's beauty in her free time.

Introducing Our Candidate for Communications Officer

⚛️Paula started in nuclear power in 2009 as a reactor operator in the U.S. Navy. After leaving the military, she worked for Constellation in the Maintenance and Work Management departments at Clinton Power Station in Clinton, IL. She transferred to Constellation’s corporate Innovation Team in 2019 and then to her current role as a Nuclear Fuels Cycle Manager in 2024. Paula has a bachelor's degree in Nuclear Energy Engineering Technology from Thomas Edison State University.
