Website Recap – 2025 Edition

As part of our continued efforts to improve functionality, consistency, and user experience on the NAYGN website, we’ve made several updates throughout 2025. Below is a recap of the most notable enhancements:

🔒 Improved Account Security and Communication

We updated our email system to ensure that password reset emails are now sent to both primary and secondary emails associated with member accounts. Newsletters will still be delivered to primary emails only. 

⚙️ Backend Cleanup & Chapter Consistency

We completed an overhaul of our backend, removing bloat and reducing costs of maintaining unnecessary features.

We also standardized the way NAYGN chapter names are stored in the backend. This fix resolved inconsistencies where profiles and the metrics dashboard were showing mismatched chapter names. 

🗺️ Chapter Affiliation Reset

During the backend cleanup, existing chapter affiliations were reset. Members will need to re-select their chapter within their profiles. We appreciate everyone's help in keeping this information up to date.

🏢 Company Name Standardization (In Progress)

Similar to the chapter updates, we are working on normalizing how company names are stored for improved data accuracy across the platform.

🧭 Enhanced User Navigation

We moved the "Back to Top" arrow to the center of the screen so it’s no longer hidden behind the reCAPTCHA badge. This makes it more visible and accessible to all users.

📅 Event Calendar Engagement

We’ve been making great use of the events calendar and posting more upcoming activities. Members can now subscribe to the calendar at naygn.org/events.

📅 Streamlined Regional Conferences

Our regional events are pivotal in connecting our members. They're now streamlined so you can find upcoming events and RSVP in the same place. Find upcoming events at naygn.org/events.

📨 New Chapter News Submission Form

Chapters can use the Social Media & Marketing Request Form to promote events before they happen and share highlights of past events.

📨 New Web Help & Features Submission Form

Users can use the Website Help Form to request new features and report issues. You can also always reach out to the Technology Officer directly at technology@naygn.org.
