On Wednesday, May 13, NAYGN members encouraged Tellico Plains High School students to pursue a career in nuclear power.

Three cross-discipline NAYGN members spoke to six high school classes about potential careers in the nuclear industry. The members discussed the basic process of producing power, what their jobs entail, and how students can find a fit in the industry. Emphasis was made on the amount of careers available to the students throughout the plant. Students followed each session with a question and answer session for the NAYGN members.

“To inspire the next generation of young talent with my journey as a Nuclear professional is something that gives me great pride, “ says Ryan Schaumburg, Operations specialist.
