Every now and then I come across an article or announcement that tells an incredible story about NAYGN members. Most recently, I saw a summary in the August 27 NEI SmartBrief that highlighted a NAYGN member that I know very well:

Tim Cahill of Bechtel Corporation explains how his fascination with the power of the tiny atom inspired him to tackle the problem of poverty associated with lack of electricity by working in the nuclear energy industry.

My initial reaction was that of surprise – kind of like knowing a celebrity – and Tim’s resume and story is one that deserves celebrity status. Tim is an influential leader within the Bechtel NAYGN chapter, and he has given a lot of behind-the-scenes support to planning some of the most recent NAYGN annual conferences. Those of you that know Tim have likely heard his story and know his passion for nuclear science and technology. Tim demonstrates his passion in his, video interview: View Tim’s Video.

Kudos to Tim!
