2024 Student Essay Contest
The North American Young Generation in Nuclear (NAYGN) is thrilled to announce our annual Essay Contest, designed to engage young minds like yours in the vibrant field of nuclear science and engineering. This contest is a unique platform for high school students (9th grade to 12th grade) to research, reflect, and write about the pivotal role of nuclear technology in shaping a sustainable future.
Students are invited to answer the following question: What nuclear technology has the largest potential impact on society?
This contest is an opportunity for students to showcase their ability to think critically about the role of nuclear technology in shaping a better future. We look forward to your insightful and thought-provoking essays that explore the transformative potential of nuclear advancements in our society.
Timeline
- The contest is open September 23 through January 6. Review the below Contest Overview to understand all requirements for entry, including essay topic limitations, length requirements, and prize opportunities.
- All submissions must be submitted to PDF or word doc form studentoutreach@naygn.org with a signed contest waiver by January 6.
- Winners will be announced, and prizes mailed by February 4.
