Conferences
The NAYGN Conference Committee plans and executes conferences that support the development of young professionals in the nuclear industry. We focus on delivering high-quality content, networking opportunities, and meaningful engagement across the nuclear industry.
Fundraising
The Fundraising Committee focuses on retaining existing and obtaining new sponsors and exhibitors, while also managing NAYGN’s investments and obtaining grants to fund NAYGN’s activities and strategic initiatives.
PD Programs
Our Professional Development (PD) Programs, AMP and NucLEADers, are designed to cultivate leadership and career growth among young professionals in the nuclear industry. These initiatives offer structured mentorship, skill-building opportunities, and exposure to industry leaders to support long-term success.
Technology
The Technology Committee maintains the website and learns how to improve user experience, reliability, and usability. Committee members also assist with maintaining, finding, and testing better ways for collaboration.
Webinar
The NAYGN Webinar Committee develops and hosts virtual sessions that promote knowledge sharing and professional growth across the nuclear industry. We coordinate speakers, topics, and logistics to deliver engaging and informative content to members at all career stages.
Public Information
Informing and engaging the public about nuclear science and technology
The Public Information (PI) Committee educates communities about the benefits of nuclear technologies through energy and non-energy applications. By engaging with schools, policymakers, and the public, NAYGN members help build trust and understanding of nuclear energy. These outreach efforts not only strengthen community connections but also empower young professionals to be confident advocates for the industry.

Advocacy
The NAYGN Conference Committee plans and executes conferences that support the development of young professionals in the nuclear industry. We focus on delivering high-quality content, networking opportunities, and meaningful engagement across the nuclear industry.
Clean Energy
The Clean Energy Committee embodies the belief of “together towards net zero.” Members identify opportunities for NAYGN to collaborate and participate in clean energy initiatives and conferences, such as COP and NY Climate Week.
Government Outreach
The Government Outreach Committee provides opportunities to impact and interact with government representation, whether remotely through Post-Card push day or in-person through Hill Day.
Media
The Media Committee controls the various forms of energy-centric media NAYGN produces. From Children’s Books to Board Games, these initiatives provide an avenue for someone of all ages to appreciate the topics of Nuclear and Green Energy.
Publications
The Publications Committee creates publications for NAYGN member use and public information. This includes informational handouts, flyers, and presentations as requested by members. Our committee also assists with issuing the NAYGN yearly report, career report, and any other official NAYGN communications.
Student Outreach
The Student Outreach Committee empowers the youth of the community, as well as local NAYGN chapters throughout the continent, through STEM-based opportunities within the education system and beyond.
Knowledge Transfer & Retention
Setting the standard for success and organizational excellence
Knowledge Transfer & Retention (KTR) is a foundational pillar for NAYGN and ensures the institutional memory of experienced nuclear professionals are passed on to the next generation. Through continental initiatives and benchmarking, NAYGN also gains insights to better understand what our members need to grow their technical and leadership skills.

Awards
The NAYGN Awards Committee highlights the achievements of our members. We develop and maintain the submissions and approvals for awards and honors granted by NAYGN. We highlight good practices, share accomplishments, and provide recognition to those who are going above and beyond.
Benchmarking
This committee identifies opportunities and evaluates NAYGN’s progress. Benchmarking develops, facilitates, and analyzes surveys, and reports findings. To consolidate and share relevant benchmarking information, such as best practices and achievements from chapters across the NAYGN Membership.
Bylaws & Rules
The Bylaws & Rules Committee is comprised of former presidents of NAYGN and provides input to the Past-President on proposed changes to NAYGN’s Bylaws & Rules.
Sustainability
The Sustainability Committee is comprised of former presidents of NAYGN and provides guidance to NAYGN’s Board of Directors based on their experience.
Networking

Through networking, NAYGN members can connect with other professionals, resources, and opportunities that help them grow and navigate the many different career paths in nuclear. Our members build meaningful relationships that not only support their career development, but also create community.

Engagement
The Engagement Committee inspires action within our membership. Committee members review the current engagement of NAYGN, create and implement contests to increase member engagement, organize initiatives that align with NAYGN’s 4 pillars.
International Relations
This committee is focused on strengthening NAYGN by broadening participation across the organization, ensuring members have the support they need to succeed, and expanding engagement with international chapters to build strong connections with young nuclear groups worldwide.
Social media
The Social Media Committee manages NAYGN’s social channels, sharing member highlights and updates on activities. We design graphics for the website and social media, and we publish a bi-weekly newsletter to keep our members informed of upcoming events and what has happened recently.
