Best Up and Coming Chapter
This award recognizes NAYGN chapters that have made significant strides in growth and revitalization, demonstrating a strong commitment to becoming active, innovative, and pioneering contributors within the organization. It highlights chapters that have recently emerged or re-established themselves by engaging members through impactful initiatives, activities, and programs. The award aims to celebrate chapters with the potential to become future leaders and driving forces within NAYGN. The submission should include at least one event conducted in 2024 that demonstrates chapter growth and success and described in detail to satisfy the voting rubric.
Note: This award is not intended for well-established chapters. Only chapters that have recently initiated significant growth or revitalization efforts should apply.

- Defining Growth and Revitalization:
- Recognizes chapters that have taken substantial steps to reinvigorate their presence, increase engagement, and align with NAYGN’s mission.
- Examples include successfully reactivating a dormant chapter, launching new initiatives that attract and retain members, and fostering a renewed sense of purpose within the organization.
- Qualifying Activities:
- Professional Development: Initiatives such as workshops, mentorship programs, and training sessions that contribute to members’ career growth.
- Social Engagement: Events that foster networking, collaboration, and camaraderie among members (e.g., team-building activities, networking events).
- Community Service: Programs that give back to the local community, such as volunteer projects and outreach efforts.
- Membership Growth: Efforts to expand the chapter’s reach, attract new members, and enhance participation in organizational activities.
Suggested Nomination Guidelines:
- Demonstration of Growth: Detail the specific actions taken to revitalize the chapter, including new initiatives, strategic planning, and leadership efforts.
- Examples of Impact: Provide tangible evidence of how these activities have contributed to the chapter’s resurgence, such as membership growth statistics, event participation, or testimonials.
- Future Potential: Explain how the chapter is positioned for long-term success and its anticipated contributions to NAYGN.

Evaluation Process:
- Each criterion is scored independently by reviewers.
- Final scores are averaged across reviewers to ensure fairness and consistency.
- In the event of a tie, a democratic vote will take place within the Awards Committee.
