Submitted by Roberto Carlos López Solis, Red Mexicana de Educación Nuclear (REMECIN) and Alejandría Pérez Valseca, Sociedad Nuclear Mexicana (SNM)
| On March 19–20, students gathered at the Metropolitan Autonomous University in Mexico City for a dynamic and welcoming academic event designed specifically for undergraduate and graduate participants new to conferences and professional meetings.
The event provided a supportive environment for students to present and discuss the progress of their thesis projects, while fostering multidisciplinary exchange across diverse areas of nuclear science and engineering. Participants engaged in meaningful dialogue, gaining exposure to new perspectives and approaches within the field. Beyond technical learning, the experience served as a valuable platform for developing communication and interpersonal skills, which are key components of professional growth for emerging nuclear professionals. This initiative is being shared with NAYGN as part of ongoing collaboration and chapter engagement efforts. With strong participation and positive outcomes, organizers plan to make this an annual event, with the next edition anticipated in 2027. |
