Exploring Alberta’s Nuclear Future: Calgary Chapter Recap

On November 20, NAYGN Calgary and NESC welcomed about 25 students along with several guests from industry for an evening on the future of nuclear energy in Alberta.

Dr. Jason Donev opened the event with an energetic overview of Alberta’s energy landscape and why nuclear is becoming part of the clean energy conversation.

Our guest speaker, Kim Ogilvie from Capital Power, followed with a clear and engaging discussion on changing public attitudes, the influence of media, the value of open communication, and new opportunities for students in the growing nuclear sector.
