Are you passionate about leadership, professional development, and advancing the future of nuclear? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your contributions make a real impact?

The NAYGN Continental Conference Planning Committee is seeking dedicated, proactive, and highly communicative volunteers to help plan and execute the organization's most significant annual event, the 2027 NAYGN Continental Conference, taking place June 13–16, 2027, in Toronto, Canada, at the Marriott Downtown at CF Toronto Eaton Centre.

Your efforts will directly contribute to energizing the future of the nuclear industry and creating a memorable experience for hundreds of NAYGN members.

What to Expect

As a committee member, you will work alongside a dedicated team of volunteers to plan, organize, and execute all aspects of the conference. Responsibilities may vary depending on your assigned team, but all members are expected to:

  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and deadlines

  • Participate actively in meetings and planning activities
  • Collaborate effectively across teams
  • Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and initiative

Leadership & Support

The committee will be overseen by Jay Rathod, NAYGN Professional Development Officer and Board of Directors Sponsor, who will provide:

  • Overall conference oversight
  • Strategic guidance and decision-making
  • Team engagement and collaboration support
  • Program and schedule oversight

Day-to-day coordination and communications will be routed through the Conference Planning Lead, with final decisions made at the Board level.

Volunteer Commitment

Participation on this committee is entirely voluntary and falls outside the scope of your employment. Time commitments will vary throughout the planning cycle based on assigned responsibilities and conference milestones.

Because this committee plays a critical role in conference success, members must maintain open and honest communication regarding their availability and workload. If professional or personal commitments begin affecting your ability to participate, we ask that you notify the Professional Development Officer as early as possible so the team can adjust and continue moving forward successfully.

We understand that priorities change, and we're here to support one another. The key to success is communication.
