“Career Progression – Becoming a Leader” Webinar Series

The Professional Development Webinar Committee is kicking off a new three part series called Career Progression: Becoming a Leader. The first webinar will be on Tuesday, September 24th at 3 PM EST with Donna Christiansen, Training Director at Comanche Peak.

The PD webinar committee is also looking for volunteers to organize and lead a NAYGN PD Book Club. The lead would pick the book and host webinars to discuss with members and help members add it to their on-the-job individual development plans.

Nuclear Science Week: Post Card Push Day

Don’t forget about Post Card Push Day for Nuclear Science Week, October 14 -18!  This year we are partnering with Nuclear Matters to send digital post cards.  There will be no hard copies sent this year.

The goal of the post card is to share your personal story and how nuclear energy makes an impact from your perspective.Two digital files are available to either print or send electronically.  Start completing your Post Cards today so that all you have to do during nuclear science week is send them!  Contact governmentoutreach@naygn.web.zuul.work to get started.

Upcoming Millennial Nuclear Caucus

MIT Nuclear Science & Engineering is hosting and would to invite you to the upcoming DOE Millennial Nuclear Caucus – New England this fall, on Monday November 4th. The DOE Millennial Nuclear Caucus is part of a series of events hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Nuclear Energy (DOE-NE) to bring together the next generation of leaders in nuclear innovation.

Attendance will be free of charge to encourage students and young professionals in the New England area to attend the event.  That includes universities, industry, labs, electricity generators, and policy makers with an interest in nuclear.

Canadian Professional Development Event – Profile in Leadership
